I feel like I'm cheating my Econ right now. This is what typically happens when I'm doing something other than what I should be doing... like studing for my Econ quiz today. Its Tuesday, and I'm already behind on all the work and reading, although I'm told its typical. But between group projects, a GA ship which includes work for very high-up executives, networking events, and of course HAPPY HOURS, well, what can you do.
I'm on campus at all hours of the day. One evening last week, I came to a stop at a stop sign when a deer crossed the crosswalk. No, this is not a joke, although T seemed to think so as I was on the phone with him. I looked over to find MANY DEER, grazing on the campus. What a trip.
I also attended my HS reunion the other weekend. Its been TEN YEARS. In fact, so many people are married with kids or engaged that I had one person ask about my sexuality. I had left T at home to keep him from the craziness which constituted my HS experience. I had a great time nonetheless, and although the reunion itself sucked (the food, the cost, the everything) we took the party next door to an irish bar until they kicked us out.
Alright, back to work. Here's my kind of question "Suppose the person represented by these Marginal Utility graphs experienced a diminished taste for tacos. As a result..." my preferred answer, "run straight to Titos" is not an option.
It gave me BG's the other night. Aside from the caffeine, I've now learned that I can go about a week on pure adrenaline at no less than 88% performance.
I desperately need a GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP, and a NICE, RELAXING MEAL WITH MY BOYFRIEND.

10:05 PM Update - nice, relaxing meal with boyfriend accomplished :)
In the last few weeks I've had the strangest thing happen to my Sony DSC-V1 digital camera. Sometimes (not all the time, but more often than not) it gets these horizontal lines that cut across the LCD monitor. More annoyingly, is that this comes across in the photo. I'm posting one as an example.
I don't recall doing anything to the camera, its almost 2 years old, but can't imagine that it has reached the end of its lifecycle. Anyone have any ideas to what may be wrong?
Increased spending is proportional to the amount of time reading for the following areas:
1. Gas
2. Cel phone bill (how the hell did I go so far past my 1000 minutes last month?)
3. Happy Hours
A few things to note about b-school - classes are definitely not what they were in undergrad, thank god because we sit through 4 hours at a time. Also, I currently have 5 group projects/presentations, 7 papers, and 2 final exams to look forward to with only 5.5 weeks left in the session. And that's just the academic part of the whole experience. Pray for me. This is why reason #3 is on the rise.
My accounting class was held in the computer lab today (Yes, I can see the Pacific Ocean even from the computer lab - you should see the view from the Library!) for us to learn how to use the computerized accounting software. I'm always amazed by people my age who have little or no computer experience. The software came with some data on floppies and since most of us no longer have floppy drives on our laptops, we had to transfer them to our USB drives (my crazy, old, hilarious Prof calls them "magic sticks"). We had 40 minutes of class time and assistance from 2 IT guys to help everyone: 1) install the software onto their laptops and 2) copy the data from the floppy to the usb drives.
Now how difficult can this be with only 20 people in the class (19 since I knew what I was doing)...
Very difficult.
I was having one of those Dilbert cartoon bubble moments when I could see and know what was going on inside the 2 IT guy's brain. "freakin MBA students" "these are the future business leaders?" "b-school students are the biggest dumbasses" "how can you not understand 'press all positive responses'" "no... copy... go to Edit... Copy"
For once, I wasn't the one having to deal with beginning of the quarter madness :)
Can I just share with you all that I'm having fun!? When was the last time I said this, for a few days straight when not on vacation? It is so nice to actually sign for a UPS package AT HOME, go running on a weekday morning, go to Target when it's not packed, participate in discussion not lecture, and continue making new friends.
I just finished my first week of classes and although I have more work than imagineable, I'm having a fabulous time doing it on my own schedule instead of a fixed 8-5. My new carpool buddy is also going to teach me how to boogie board (we can pull over on the side of the freeway like they do in Hawaii)!!
Oh, tomorrow's Friday, a day off!
