putting the knit in shizknitz

I have been very fortunate to be able to take a trip each year during b-school overseas.  I really thought this trend would end with the advent of something called a full time job.  My job is a unique one, allowing me to take time off (up to a month without pay) in-between my jobs at the same company. 

I officially would like to announce the Shiz Tour of ‘08:  South Africa and Hong Kong.  Just in case you haven’t followed, Shiz Tour of ‘06 was Argentina, Uruguay and Shanghai.  Shiz Tour of ‘07 was Europe and Korea.  I always seem to manage to attach something Asian on to the base trip. 

Once again, my mom thinks I’ve lost my mind, although I’ve left out the part about me taking my backpack again.  I’m beyond ecstatic at this point.  I knew that around December when I started feeling sad I didn’t have a trip planned, I was starting to turn into a travel junkie (or, as someone has pointed out, I tend to visit areas with great wine regions). 

BTW, Anthony Bordain is my hero.
