Home at last!

First of all, I am absolutely exhausted. This was my second weekend in a row to be out of town, with TONS of work to get done. Every single day my schedules are maxed out - I even battled a cold this last week! This last weekend was spent in Chicago at the Net Impact conference, which was fantastic! It was SO beautiful there - even though we were bundled up like crazy, it was an amazing time.
First the architecture - everything was made out of BRICK. Brick homes, brick buildings, brick everything. We see so few of it here in Cali because they can’t withstand all of the earthquakes!
Next, the seasons - the trees were changing colors and falling to the ground. Like a kid, I ran and kicked the fall leaves on the ground.
Then the smoke - my virgin Californian lungs are not used to the amount of smoke everywhere - buildings, restaurants, bars, clubs, and yes, even my hotel.
Last but not least - the friendliness! The people there were so, so kind. I’ll bet they all come visit LA and wonder why we are such evil people.
