Busy, busy, busy….
I’ve been so busy and distracted lately, I haven’t had time to post. A few weeks ago I received the sweetest surprise in the mail from Leslie. It was even more special since I was especially down that day. There was a cute birth announcement of her new bundle of joy, Kate, and the cutest little bag.
I’ve also been ferociously been working on (and can’t seem to knit as fast as many of you out here!) the eyelet wrap from Rebecca 29. I’m now finished with the back and the two sleeves.
Oh, and I went to Titos the other day for the first time in weeks… and thankfully they changed the damn salsa back to normal. It had been so long that I think my stomach wasn’t ready for the 9 AM taco breakfast - I was jacked up for the rest of the day.

Migraines and Earthquakes
Earthquakes are caused by the shifting of those platetectonic-thingy’s… are migraines caused by the shifting of brain layers? They sure the hell feel like they do… you pray that it stops, and real soon.

No, maybe even better (quote)
A girl asked a guy if he thought she was pretty.
He said…no.
She asked him if he would want to be with her forever….
and he said no.
She then asked him if she were to leave would he cry,
and once again he replied with a no.
She had heard enough.
As she walked away, tears were streaming down her face.
The boy grabbed her arm and said….
You’re not pretty you’re beautiful.
I don’t want to be with you forever.
I NEED to be with you forever!
And I wouldn’t cry if you walked away…
I’d die…

“W.O.W.”
Thas right. Relive those memories of summers in elementary school spent in front of the ‘ole Nintendo playing hours and hours of Super Mario Bros, Mike Tyson’s Punch Out and of course, Zelda (remember that gold cartridge?)…. tonight, we got to experience it again, live, at the Hollywood Bowl’s Video Games Live concert.
This was not your typical HB concert - great video to accompany the audio (LA Phil, a full choir and stuntmen) as well as laser light beams and other effects. It truly was a great concert. The age range was definitely younger than your typical Wed night Stravinsky concert, which made it more interesting “JENKINNNNNNNNNNNNNS!!!!!!!!”
T’s bro brought us some fresh pizza, straight from his work in one of those delivery pouches. It got its own seat on the bus, and at the bag inspection at the gates of the Bowl, was questioned what was in the bag. “Whats in the bag?” “Pizza” “Oh, you delivering?” “No, eating”
My favorite was Zelda (my own personal memories of that game) but of course, World of Warcraft seemed to have gotten a great warm reception. I dedicate this entry to Hubert, who really should have been there tonight to experience with the other WOW’ers the musical experience….

Need vs. Want
In life we have needs, and we have wants. They always seem to conflict each other in a budget. Let’s just cut to the chase with some simple comparisons:
1. Servicing my car ($100 + anything else wrong with it) vs. iCruze ($350 after installation) EDIT: I also need new brakes. ::sigh:: joys of living in Los Angeles. EDIT: I need new front brakes and two new back trillings for the bushings, whatever the hell that is.
2. Dental work ($200 + $275 for new nightguard) vs. getting nails done every other week ($720 anually)
3. Rent ($1300 a month) vs. Laptop ($2200 Thinkpad X41 Tablet)
4. Smog Check and Car Reg ($140) vs. GGH yarn for Rebecca Lacy Top ($140)
5. Prescriptions ($30 a month) vs. Cel Phone ($50 a month)
6. Dog Food ($8 for a month’s supply) vs. Dog Treats ($12 for 1 week)
Why is it that no matter how much more the “want” costs than the “need”, it always seems vice versa? For everything else, there’s MC……
Meet and Greet
BJ finally had her last shot and was able to have a “play date” with Mia this weekend. She’s got so much young pup energy that Mia really couldn’t keep up, er, didn’t want to deal with her. BJ was adorable when the playfulness didn’t work, she would walk up to Mia slowly, then start giving her kisses, to which Mia would turn her head away with a look that said “what the heck?!” only when I said “Mia, want to go OUT?” did she start to jump around which really got BJ excited…
On another strange note about Mia… she LOVES car rides. A month or so ago she went through a phase where she insisted on going in through the garage after her walks. She then would stop at each car in the garage until she got to our cars, and would put her brakes on. She wanted to go on a car ride. Once, T gave in and we drove around the block, to which she seemed to be happy. She jumped out of the car and obediently went home. Another time we tried to trick her by getting IN the car, and getting out a few minutes later, but she didn’t buy that. Tonight, I finally remembered my radio code on my car which enabled me to FINALLY test iCruze which I got installed a few days ago. Well, we all got in the car to test it - but she certainly didn’t want to get out. In fact, I got out of the car to get her out when she jumped to the drivers seat (away from us) and laid down. She wasn’t going to move. Miss Thang was lucky that I had a new toy to play with, as she got her car ride around the block.

AIM for your Treo
So I don’t have a Treo, but that doesn’t matter. I’m putting in a plug on T’s newest creation.
